Our Pledge to You

  1. The Rocket Science Group does not send email marketing, newsletters, or commercial email of any sort without prior (double opt-in) consent.
  2. We never sell, rent, or give away any contact information of our clients or subscribers.
  3. We occasionally send email alerts (with no marketing content) to our customers that host their websites on our servers. These brief "System Alerts" contain important news, such as scheduled server maintenance and outages, email availability, important service updates, or anything that impacts your hosting account with us. This is meant to be critical information about your hosting account---not marketing. Recipients of these alerts can unsubscribe at any time.
  4. No visitor to The Rocket Science Group website, MailChimp.com website, or client of The Rocket Science Group, is automatically subscribed to any general marketing emails. All recipients of our email newsletter must have double opted in.
  5. We provide a one-click unsubscribe link in all email marketing that we send to our customers. The unsubscribe is immediate.
  6. If you submit a help ticket to MailChimp (a product of The Rocket Science Group), our system may automatically send you a brief survey email, requesting your feedback on how your issue was resolved. We use this information to improve our customer service, and nothing more. Submitting a help ticket does not add you to any mailing list.

Use of Cookies, and Personally Identifiable Information

  1. When you visit our website, we don't automatically collect any personally identifiable information about you.
  2. The cookies we place do not personally identify any visitor to our website
  3. On MailChimp.com, we temporarily store session information, so that registered users do not have to login every time they visit the site.
  4. We place temporary cookies on web pages so that we can see how visitors use our website, but they do not personally identify users (we use this information to improve our website experience)
  5. We place a transparent tracking bug on certain web pages to track the performance of online ads placed on other websites. The trackers do not personally identify any visitors to our website. They simply tell us about the performance of our online advertising
  6. We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.
  7. When we send email marketing to our customers, we may sometimes track who clicked and opened our messages. We use this information to better tailor our marketing messages and offers, to specific segments of our list.

Safeguarding Your Information

The following information covers our hosting services and our MailChimp product...
  1. To protect your information, our credit card processing vendor uses the latest 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for secure transactions. In addition, our vendor is certified as compliant with card association security initiatives, such as the Visa Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP), MasterCard¨ (SDP), and Discover Information Security and Compliance (DISC).
  2. MailChimp accounts require username and password to log in. When you're finished using MailChimp, please click the "log out" link in the top right corner of your screen, to prevent someone from using your computer to access your account
  3. Due to the sensitive nature of your MailChimp recipient lists, we do not re-send forgotten passwords. Users must follow online instructions to reset their passwords if they forget them.
  4. Account passwords are encrypted from our own system admins. We cannot see your passwords. We can only reset them.

Children under 13

  1. We do not knowingly provide accounts, or market to, or solicit information from, children under the age of 13.
